Do’s and Don’ts of IVF: The perfect guide for an ideal lifestyle

Becoming parents is a blessing and one of the huge steps that need special care of the mother so that the baby will be healthy. Moreover, the mother has to take every single step with due care in the case of IVF. So, if you are going to be a mother after successful IVF treatment in Kandivali, then there are various dos and don’ts IVF mothers have to take care of.

The reason is if the mother is healthy, then only the baby will remain fine and healthy during and after birth.

Do’s and don’ts of IVF

1. Exercise

Exercise is one of the important aspects when we talk about pregnancy. That means the mother can do light exercises, elliptical training, walking, and yoga to keep the mind and body active and fresh. But she is not allowed to go over-exercising as the process of IVF is a stressful process, and if the mother overdo exercises, she will feel tired and stressed.

However, there is a risk of vomiting, pain, and nausea in this situation.

2. Don’t drink alcohol

According to a report, drinking alcohol delivers a negative impact on pregnancy. Men and women who drink lots of alcohol have odds of failed fertilization upto 50%. So, don’t drink alcohol at all while you are pregnant, but you can go for some healthy juices.

3. Sleep well

After eating well and doing exercise, you have controlled your stress level. Now the next step is to take a good night’s sleep which has to be at least 7 hours. If you don’t sleep enough, you will feel tired, and your stress level increases, which is unsuitable for both the baby and the mother.

4. Self-care routine

When you are pregnant, self-pampering is essential as it helps in releasing stress and makes you feel good both internally and externally. So, a trip to spas, salons, and any other place that offers leisure activities are encouraged.

But remember to avoid deep tissue massages and scalp massages due to enlargement of the ovaries.

5. Household chemicals

Various chemicals are used in homes for doing household chores. They contain endocrine-disrupting chemicals that harm hormones and reproductive health. Examples of such products are nail polish, soaps, perfumes, etc.

The bottom line

If you prepare your body and mind before going for IVF treatment, then it will lower the complications and miscarriage. So, follow the above dos and don’ts of IVF and make your pregnancy journey healthy. For more information and guidance, contact your doctor at the IVF treatment center in Mumbai.
